course treats from a theoretical viewpoint the physical properties of the
nucleus, nuclear force, structure and models, conserved quantities, symmetries,
spin and magnetic moment, electric quadruple moment, nuclear scattering, ground
state of the deuteron, s-wave n-p scattering, nuclear transformations, bound
states, radioactive decay, barrier penetration, Gamow theory, Fermi theory of
Beta decay, radiative transitions and selection rules, the neutrino, cross
section and cross section calculation, Born approximation, neutron cross
sections, Q-Equation and kinematics of elastic scattering, angular and energy
distributions, nuclear reaction energetics, compound nucleus model.
